A new report from the IPCC has laid bare the challenges facing the world if serious action is not taken now to tackle climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. A move to renewable energy sources, while underway, has up to now been relatively slow and there are warnings current actions will not be enough to avert the planet heating by more than 1.5C above pre-industrial levels.
