In June 2024, hundreds of the world’s sharpest marketing minds descended upon London to attend this year’s FROM: HERE, TO: THERE, a one-day conference hosted by Intuit Mailchimp.
This year’s event arrived at a fascinating moment in the marketing industry: with disruptive tech like GenAI dominating the public discussion, FROM: HERE, TO: THERE delved into the future of marketing. What technology, tactics, strategies, ideas and products should marketers know about today to succeed tomorrow?
To answer these questions, Intuit Mailchimp brought together speakers such as entrepreneur Steven Bartlett, host of the award-winning podcast “The Diary of a CEO”; Mo Gawdat, former chief business officer of Google [X]; Intuit Mailchimp’s SVP and general manager Rania Succar; celebrated marketer Mark Ritson; Rory Sutherland, vice chairman of Ogilvy UK; and even Ameca, the world’s most advanced humanoid robot.
Raconteur’s editorial team also caught up with some of the event’s attendees to find out what they were most excited about learning on the day. One attendee shared: “It’s a good opportunity to connect in real time with so many great people.”
Another guest added, “Being with so many like-minded people in this incredible space has been inspiring. Hearing the talks has gotten me thinking about so many things that I want to bring to my business.”
While Ameca the robot may have drawn in the crowds, attendees had the biggest takeaways from the human speakers. “The highlight of my day was seeing Mo Gawdat speak,” said one marketer. “He brought a reminder of the importance of always being empathetic and thinking of humans when working with technology. There is so much about new technology that we glamourise and don’t understand yet.”
